This seminar course covers the key developments in hardware security to understand the problem space and the range of techniques used for their solutions. We review key papers in circuits (e.g. physically unclonable functions), logic design (e.g. logic encryption, Trojans), architecture (e.g. software-based attacks, timing side channels), and analysis techniques (SAT/SMT solvers, model checkers).
