How do people balance love and work? A social psychology perspective takes a broad behavioral scientific approach. By love, we mean close relationships with partners, family, intimates. By work, we mean paid and unpaid jobs, careers, household work, volunteering. We will look at what motivates a person in a given situation. We aim to be inclusive. How do people allot time to love and work? What impels people, whether by choice or not, to do neither, one over the other, or both at once?
