Info tab content
The goal of this course is to read Cicero's works across generic boundaries and think about Cicero's actions and writing as occurring simultaneously. We will read a speech, a philosophical text, and a selection of letters from an exciting period in the history of the state and in Cicero's life. We will supplement our primary readings with scholarly articles and chapters that will help us put our texts into a broader context.
