A coherent treatment modern classical dynamics, emphasizing the classical concepts that pertain to quantum mechanics, while highlighting the fundamental differences between classical and quantum phenomenology. The course is intended for all second-year physics and astrophysics concentrators as part of the nominal 207/208 fall/spring sequence, as well as those students from other departments that are interested in the quantitative study of quantum mechanics and quantum computing. The class consists of a lecture, in-class demonstrations and discussion.
