This seminar introduces recent experimental work in political economy and comparative politics. The goal of this course is to introduce students to the theoretical and practical features of experimental political science, particularly natural and field experiments. The course is divided into three parts. Part 1 surveys recent literature on selected topics. Part 2 of the course has four guest speakers whose work students replicate and extend. In Part 3 students present the design of their own experimental study.
