Policy Workshop: How to Finance Renewable Energy in Puerto Rico

This Policy Workshop provides an opportunity to explore and influence real-time decisions on ways to finance the transition to renewable energy in Puerto Rico. The Caribbean Island has in place a legal mandate of 40% renewable energy by 2025, and 100% by 2050 under local Act 17 of 2019. One of the biggest hurdles to reach those goals is how to finance the necessary technology to replace the existing fossil-fuel burning infrastructure.
