This seminar will take a multi-disciplinary approach and include research from the fields of education, psychology, history, economics, and political science. It will focus on the relationship between theory and practice in all aspects of teaching, learning, and working as well as the relationship between school and society. Readings will be far-ranging and include scholarly papers as well as newspaper articles and other forms of social media. The goal will be to make every member of the seminar a smarter, wiser, and more self-regulated learner and informed citizen.
