Info tab content
Aerial silks acrobats hold themselves aloft through an intricate tangle of their limbs and supporting fabrics. We will explore ways to understand the choreography of aerial silk acrobatics through the lens of a field of mathematics called "knot theory," which classifies how knotted strings can be arranged in space. No prior mathematical background or aerial silks experience is necessary.
