This is a course centered on the analysis and design of health challenges and the policies that can address them. It adopts a problem-oriented approach. It discusses what can be done to improve health systems, reduce health disparities in care access and outcomes and address both emerging and persistent health issues in Latin America. The course examines global epidemics, aging, racial and gender inequalities in health, violence, abortion, mental health and food habits.
