One of the most challenging questions we face during life is the question of the meaning of life. Different cultures offered different answers to this profound question; the various perspectives also created a different perception of morality and virtue. During the course, we will read masterpieces from diverse traditions that embody different concepts regarding the meaning of life and virtues. We will also try to understand the relationship between different ideals and their social realization.
