This course provides an analysis of Ukrainian literature from the end of 19th to the beginning of 21st centuries and focuses on the interpretation of the literary canon and the role of gender in its formation. Special attention is given to the texts as a symbolic autobiography of the author. The aim of the course is to examine the role of the mask and the image, the name and the voice of the writers in the history of Ukrainian literature.
