Info tab content
Detailed treatment of the physics and modeling of turbulent combustion. Turbulent premixed, nonpremixed, and multi-modal combustion are all discussed. Emphasis in the course is placed on understanding relevant physical and chemical phenomena that lead to various modeling approaches (derived from both experiment and computation), the implicit and explicit assumptions in these modeling approaches, and the relative strengths and weaknesses of these modeling approaches.
