This course will familiarize students with the practical aspects of policy formulation and implementation that pertain to current public policy issues in the Middle East. The primary focus will be on the challenges associated with improving governance at the national and sectoral levels. It will also examine effective national strategies for capacity-building, rehabilitation, and economic development against the backdrop of strained social contracts.
