Five buildings house the School of Engineering and Applied Science. At the center is the Engineering Quadrangle, or EQuad, a complex of connected wings with a courtyard, 25 classrooms, 120 laboratories, a machine shop, more than 125 faculty offices and study spaces, and a cafe. The engineering honor society, Tau Beta Pi, offers tours of the EQuad, and a self-guided tour handout is available outside room C-205. The EQuad's garden-like courtyard features several pieces of sculpture. The engineering school also includes Bowen Hall; the Computer Science Building, which connects to the Friend Center; and Sherrerd Hall.
