Info tab content
Based on the fundamental principles of light, electricity, and magnetism, this course develops the physical basis for imaging, the world of information, and electrical power fields that span engineering and underpin grand societal challenges. Applications include bioengineering, computation, data transmission, the electrical grid, and renewable energy. Quantum mechanical concepts will be introduced to understand modern engineering practice. The labs will enable students to develop an intuitive feel for basic concepts, as well as to test their own designs.
