I am reaching out to share my thanks and appreciation for the Facilities teams supporting Commencement events.

Each year, I’m amazed by the sheer scope of work carried out by Building Services, Grounds, Electric, and Carpenter shops—along with so many others in Facilities working tirelessly behind the scenes. And every year, I’m equally impressed by the collective effort that goes into supporting Commencement events, all while managing end-of-year activities and move-out.

What stands out most is how your teams deliver that support. Despite the hurdles, last-minute changes, and constant challenges, your groups consistently show up with a can-do spirit and a collaborative mindset that’s truly inspiring.

Everyone I encounter makes it abundantly clear: they’re ready to support whatever is needed.

This is the heart of what makes Princeton University run so smoothly. I hope your teams recognize the impact they have—and know that people like me are deeply grateful for their dedication, teamwork, and everyday heroics.
