I wanted to take a moment to share my appreciation and deep gratitude for the incredible support provided by Building Services during the Commencement events. As always, your teams worked tirelessly across campus, transforming spaces into beautiful, festive venues that set the stage for one of the University’s most important celebrations.

I’m so thankful for the contributions of Building Services staff at every level. You and your leadership team are outstanding—I always feel completely supported by the group, who consistently go above and beyond to make sure everything is just right.

A special shoutout to Richard Upegui, Gus Bing, John McBride, Mike Carson, John Argento, and Angelo Pellegrino (and so many others!) who are there for me at every turn. They lead incredible teams that meticulously set up seating areas and event spaces, and they’re an absolute pleasure to work with.

Thanks also to Kathy Apgar and the delivery crew for handling detailed and expansive orders with such care. Everything arrived exactly as needed, and they’re always a joy to collaborate with.

And of course, a huge thank you to the many staff members who step away from their regular duties to help with the heavy lifting. It’s truly inspiring to see the pride they take in their work.

The success of Commencement is due in large part to this amazing team, and we’re so grateful to partner with such dedicated and talented people. 

Gary Immordino held a special place in our hearts this year. His legacy of service excellence lives on through the dedication and achievements of this outstanding team.
