Facilities staff raised more than $1,300 to benefit the United Way of Greater Mercer County this year through the 50/50 Raffle and the Bake Sale.

The total raffle pot was $1,255. This year’s winners were Renee Wieland, John “Jay” McDaniel, and Morris Roberts, who each received $205.

The Bake Sale, held on November 20, raised an additional $730, making the total donation from Facilities this year $1,370!

The event, held in the MacMillan common space, was a great success thanks to the many volunteers, bakers, and patrons. Special thanks to Adrien Monach, Alicea Romano, Marcia Leach, Kristen Sobolewski, Heather Embert, Gerlinde Friedman, Barbara Hargadon, Dina Sherman, Laura Darrell, and Olivia Selmon who helped plan the event.

There were dozens of tasty treats from bakers across Facilities; everything from peppered jelly and coconut cakes to peanut butter cookies and chocolate dipped pretzels.

The United Way of Greater Mercer County focuses on youth success, financial security, access to healthcare, and food distribution. Gifts translate into educating elementary school students, fighting hunger throughout the region, and helping families access basic necessities. If you missed the Facilities events, there are more ways to participate through the 2024 Princeton campaign.
