MacMillan Renovation: Phase One Update
With items uncovered during demolition, additional time is needed to complete phase one. Construction is moving forward with an anticipated completion date of mid-March 2024.
Phase one construction began on November 6, as scheduled. Work completed to date is as follows:
- Installation of new fixtures, millwork and finishes for the new coffee station and communal dining area.
- Tile completed in men’s and women’s restrooms, as well as the coffee station back splash.
- Repair and infill of a stress crack discovered in the slab outside of the 119 restroom.
- Flooring installation being completed the week of February 26.
- New carpet and paint has been completed in all private/shared offices.
- New lighting is being installed in all office and communal spaces.
- Vinyl graphic installation occurring in the main dining area the week of March 4, followed by furniture.
With items uncovered during demolition, additional time is needed to complete phase one. Construction is moving forward with an anticipated completion date of mid-March 2024. Coordination has begun for the timing and details for staff moving into the completed spaces and for those that will need to relocate for the upcoming phase two and phase three work. Once finalized, an updated staff location plan will be shared.
